How to use it in the Telegram bot

  1. Copy the Instagram profile's link (instagram.com/username) and send it to @MoeinimyDL_bot.
  2. Tap Highlights in the menu the bot shows.
  3. The account's highlights are listed by name. Tap the one you want.
  4. Every story in that highlight arrives in order, photos and videos as posted.

What highlights are

Every story on Instagram disappears after a day, unless the owner adds it to a highlight – the round, named collections under a profile's bio, like "Travel", "Menu" or "FAQ". Businesses use them as a permanent catalogue, creators as a portfolio, and friends as a scrapbook. They are often the most useful content on a profile, and Instagram offers no way to save them.

How the bot does it

Send a profile link and the bot shows three buttons: Profile picture, Stories and Highlights. Tap Highlights and the bot lists every highlight on the profile by its title. Tap one, and the bot fetches every story it contains and sends them in order – photos as photos, videos as videos, in the best version Instagram serves.

The bot does this with its own Instagram connection. You never sign in, and the account owner never sees you as a viewer.

Limits that come from Instagram

  • Public accounts only. A private account's highlights are visible only to its followers.
  • Account-only feature. Instagram serves highlights only to signed-in viewers. When Instagram asks the bot's account to re-verify, highlights, stories and profile pictures pause until it is done. Public posts and reels do not use an account and keep working.

How do I download an Instagram highlight?

Send the profile link to the bot, tap Highlights, and pick one by name. All of its stories are sent to you in order.

Does the account see that I viewed its highlights?

No. The bot fetches them; you never open them on Instagram, so your account is not involved and does not show up anywhere.

Can I download highlights from a private account?

No. Only public accounts' highlights can be fetched.

Why is there no web version?

Instagram shows highlights only to signed-in viewers, so the bot uses its own Instagram account for them. Keeping that account's activity modest is what keeps the feature working, so it stays in the bot.

A highlight is huge. Will I get all of it?

Yes – every story in the highlight is sent, in the order the owner arranged them. Large highlights take a little longer.

What is the difference between a story and a highlight?

A story disappears after 24 hours. A highlight is a collection of past stories that the owner pinned to their profile, and it stays until they remove it. For current stories, see the story downloader.
