Photos, carousels and mixed posts
An Instagram post can be a single photo, a single video, or a carousel of up to twenty slides that mixes both. The downloader treats them all the same way: it reads the post's public data, finds every item in it and the best version Instagram keeps of each – the full-size image for a photo, the top rendition for a video – and returns them in the order they were posted.
That works without an account. The same logged-out view Instagram gives any visitor on the web is what the downloader reads, so no login is involved.
On the web and in Telegram
The two versions deliver differently, and each has its strength:
- On the web, every slide is its own download link to the original file, exactly as Instagram stores it. That is the best choice when you need the untouched image, for example for editing or printing.
- In Telegram, the whole post arrives as one album in the chat – ten slides stay together and in order, and forwarding the post to a friend takes one tap. Telegram compresses photos slightly when it shows them as an album.

Profile links open the profile menu in the bot instead: Profile picture, Stories and Highlights.
When a post will not download
- Private account – only approved followers can see it, so it cannot be fetched.
- Deleted or archived – the link no longer leads to anything.
- Restricted – some posts are age-restricted or hidden in certain countries, and Instagram does not show them to logged-out visitors.
The bot tells you which case applies, instead of a vague error.
